GECA is a performance-based, community theatre organization
serving Escambia County, Alabama, Northwest Escambia County, Florida, and surrounding areas. We are the largest
all-volunteer organization supporting the development of performing and visual arts in the region. GECA is a 501(c)(3) public charity and donations to GECA are tax deductible under section 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). GECA will
soon be listed as a public charity in IRS Publication 78. It is the commitment of GECA to support and develop a love of and talent for the arts in
all its various forms in South Alabama and Northwest Florida. It is our further commitment to encourage community involvement
in the performing arts by making available family-friendly opportunities to participate in the production of, and enjoyment
of live theatre experiences. With a commitment to professionalism in all endeavors, GECA has built a reputation for
first class performances. We currently have an active talent pool of more than 100 performers, trained and untrained,
who give their time and talents freely year round. This number does not include the dozens of other skilled artists
and craftsmen who share their abilities behind the scenes to support the performers on stage. GECA continues to represent
quality on and off the stage.
